Xelpov’s Air Injection Cannula is a specialized device that ophthalmic surgeons can use to assist in the detachment of the anterior stroma of the cornea, in order to permit certain corneal transplantation procedures, such as deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty.

The Air Injection Cannula offers a wide assortment of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to help surgeons to perform pneumodissection, which permits to separate a portion of the corneal stroma.
For this purpose, the instrument has a 27 or 30 gauge hollow tube with an angle that follows the globe’s anatomy. In addition, the tube features two profiles, including angled 5mm and angled at 7mm tubes. Surgeons can choose between patterns to conform to the patient’s needs.
Moreover, the Air Injection Cannula features a bottom, square-shaped hub that enhances gripping. Also, the hub works as an attachment site for the tube and helps to control the air injection.
