The Blumenthal Conjunctiva Dissector has a special design for performing trabeculectomy. This dissector offers multiple benefits for this purpose.
For example, it has a disc-shaped tip with a blunted profile. Moreover, the tip features a 2mm size and is ideal for avoiding local trauma.
In addition, the dissector comes with a short, slim shank for easily passing between de Tenon’s capsule and the epi-sclera for reaching the bleb pocket. Also, the device comes with a solid round handle with an ergonomic outline. As a result, surgeons can perform lengthy procedures without fatigue.
