Dolwick-Type TMJ Disc Clamp
Xelpov’s Dolwick-Type TMJ Disc Clamp is a specialized device that maxillofacial surgeons can use to grasp, reposition or replace the temporomandibular joint’s articular disc, in order to repair disc displacement.
- Convexly Curved Jaws to Suit the Bilaminar Zone.
- Smooth-Surfaced Jaws to Prevent Local Injury.
- Ergonomic Finger Rings Ensuring Superior Handling.
The Dolwick-Type TMJ Disc Clamp offers a wide range of advantages during TMJ surgery. Its principal use is to provide an efficient way to reposition the articular disc within the retrodiscal zone.
For this purpose, the instrument features convexly curved jaws, which’s design follows the contour of the articular disc. In addition, the jaws small size enhances the surgical sightlines and permits atraumatic manipulations.
Moreover, the Dolwick-Type TMJ Disc Clamp includes a ratchet system to self-retain the jaws. Together with the finger rings, the ratchet ensures firm grasping and reduces the risk of accidental slippage.
Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish that reduces glare.
