The Drews Irrigating Vectis offers a wide assortment of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to remove the nucleus from the capsule without endangering local tissues.

For this purpose, the instrument features a straight tube that ensures deep surgical access. In addition, the tube has a distal loop-shaped tip, which’s design is ideal to place under the nucleus and remove it. Also, the loop has a front and two backward ports to force out water and facilitate extraction.

Moreover, the Drews Irrigating Vectis’s 23 gauge openings are ideal to irrigate solutions with adequate pressure. Furthermore, the device has a square-shaped tube hub that permits the connection between the tube and the irrigator system.
