Xelpov’s Dura Dissector is a specialized device that neurosurgeons frequently use to dissect and separate the cranial dura from its overlaying bone surface, in order to gain access to the brain and its meninges.

The Dura Dissector offers a broad range of advantages for neurosurgeons. Its principal use is to allow for atraumatic dissection of the dura’s fibrous tissue without injuring its underlying structures.
For this purpose, the instrument features a double-ended profile for performing cuts from different approaches. For example, one of the tips has a complete sharp edge for cutting the dura from multiple angles. The opposite end features a terminal sharp edge for straightforward dissection.
Moreover, the Dura Dissector features an ergonomically designed handle. Its hexagonal shape has multiple surfaces, which grant exceptional gripping.
Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish that reduces glare.
