The Gass Retinal Detachment Hook offers a broad assortment of surgical advantages. These advantages are particularly useful for ophthalmic surgeons, especially when performing surgeries that involve the retina.
To this end, the instrument features a 90° angled hook supplied with a 1.5mm oval hole. Moreover, surgeons can use the hook to lift and guide the detached retina through the anterior chamber.
In addition, surgeons can also elevate the extraocular muscles with this device. Also, its oval hole allows passing and tying sutures on either side of the isolated muscle.
