The Gimbel Cortex Aspirating Cannula offers a reliable way to dislodge particles from the operating site. Its principal use is to aspire cortical material from the corneal surface without jeopardizing local tissues.
For this purpose, the instrument features a double angled tube with a front port, which’s 30 gauge size permits delicate aspiration. In addition, the tube’s slim profile is ideal to access narrow spaces and cavities.
Moreover, the Gimbel Cortex Aspirating Cannula features a tube hub that permits the capture of particles. The hub attaches to an aspiration system or silicone bulb, which are useful to clear the surgical field.
