Lewin Repositioning Forceps
Xelpov’s Lewin Repositioning Forceps is a specialized orthopedic device that surgeons commonly use for grasping and aligning fractured bone fragments, in order to perform skeletal transfixion and other procedures.
- Atraumatic Serrated Jaws for Minimizing Local Injury.
- Deeply Curved Jaws for Grasping Large Bone Fragments.
- Ergonomic Finger Rings Ensuring Superior Handling.
The Lewin Repositioning Forceps offers a broad range of surgical benefits. These benefits are particularly important during orthopedic procedures that involve bone repairing, such as open fracture reduction.
For this purpose, the instrument comes with a pair of serrated jaws with deep inward curves. Moreover, the serrations are ideal to secure firm bone grasps, which ultimately ensures bone fragment stabilization. As a result, the operator can drill screws or insert a K-wire for fixating the bone.
In addition, the device features long, straight shanks that connect the boxlock to the finger rings. Also, a small ratchet mechanism offers the possibility of statically locking the forceps at the desired width.
All our Lewin Repositioning Forceps are available in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish.
