The Schepens Scleral Depressor offers a wide assortment of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to manipulate soft tissues and mark the sclera during retinal detachment procedures.
For this purpose, the instrument features a thimble-style handle that provides optimal manipulation. In addition, the handle is available in small, medium and large patterns to accommodate a variety of finger sizes.
Moreover, the Schepens Scleral Depressor features a 7mm shaft with a slight curve that ensures precise access. Furthermore, the tip has a blunt profile and is available in hammer-like or standard designs.
