Schiötz Tonometer
Xelpov’s Schiötz Tonometer is used to measure the intraocular pressure (IOP) during tonometry procedures. It is a reliable tool to evaluate glaucoma patients.
- 5.5, 7.5 & 10.0g weights to suit all applications.
- Curved Footplate to Follow the Cornea’s Shape.
- Ergonomic finger rests ensure maximum control.
The Schiötz Tonometer presents numerous benefits for assessing patients at risk of glaucoma, primarily serving to accurately measure the intraocular pressure (IOP) of the eye.
To achieve this objective, the device incorporates a V-shaped mount with a depth-measuring scale for the corneal surface. Additionally, it incorporates a pointer/lever system that marks the scale from 0 to 20. The specialist interprets the obtained value using a conversion table to determine the precise IOP.
Furthermore, the Schiötz Tonometer is equipped with a plunger system featuring three different weights for scale calibration, ranging from 5.5 to 10.0 grams. Operators can effortlessly insert these weights into the assembly pin using a V-shaped keyway.
Moreover, the instrument boasts a curved footplate at its base, designed to conform to the corneal contour. This design ensures that specialists can position the device on the eye without the risk of causing trauma.
Crafted from premium-grade stainless steel, Xelpov’s Schiötz Tonometer guarantees the deployment of top-quality instruments in your operating rooms.
