The Simcoe Irrigating Lens Nucleus Loop offers a wide range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to ensure the removal of the lens nucleus without endangering local tissues.
For this purpose, the instrument features an oval, large loop-shaped tip, which’s design is ideal to carry the nucleus. In addition, the device is available in left and right loop patterns, ensuring multiple accessing approaches.
Moreover, the Simcoe Irrigating Lens Nucleus Loop features two 25 gauge front ports to irrigate fluids. As a result, surgeons can easily separate the nucleus from the capsule, extract it and place an intraocular lens.
