The Struempel Alligator Forceps is a scissor-like, grasping tool that offers various advantages. Its principal use is to place and remove small objects in the narrow ear cavity, where other forceps struggle to approach. For this purpose, the device features alligator-like jaws with a spoon shape that ensure an extremely secure grasping.
Moreover, the jaws have an ideal design for carrying cerumen impactions away from the ear canal. Also, the fenestrated spoon-shape is especially useful to place tubes during myringotomy.
In addition, the Struempel Alligator Forceps features finger rings that form a perpendicular angle with the shafts. This streamlined design provides an exceptional view of the surgical field.
