The Van-Doren Uterine Biopsy Punch is a scissor-like, grasping device that offers a variety of benefits. Its principal use is to atraumatically harvest tissue from the cervix edges for biopsy.
For this purpose, the forceps features a pair of cone-shaped tips that are useful to excise and carry the specimen. In addition, the upper jaw has a fenestration with horizontal wires that assist in dividing the sample.
