Fechtner Trabeculectomy Marker
Xelpov’s Fechtner Trabeculectomy Marker is a specialized device that ophthalmic surgeons use to mark the scleral at the adequate needle insertion point, in order to puncture the tissue and release the intraocular pressure.
- Inverted Trapezoid Tip to Mark the Scleral Tissue
- Angled Working End to Follow the Globe’s Anatomy
- Ergonomic Solid Handle Ensuring Superior Control
The Fechtner Trabeculectomy Marker offers a wide range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to atraumatically create 0.75mm side marks behind the hinge during trabeculectomy.
For this purpose, the instrument features an inverted trapezoid tip that angles to conform with the eyeball’s contour. In addition, the tip has two side marking lines that help to locate the adequate spot to insert the needle.
Moreover, the Fechtner Trabeculectomy Marker features a straight, tapering shaft that enhances sightlines. Furthermore, the shaft attaches to a smooth-surfaced handle that not only prevents slippage but also increases surgical comfort.
