Hudson Conical Burrs
Xelpov’s Hudson Conical Burrs are specialized surgical instruments designed to assist doctors in performing intricate brain surgeries. The primary goal is to relieve pressure caused by brain bleeding, thereby preventing severe complications like coma or loss of movement.
Efficient Operation
Surgeons begin by attaching the Hudson Conical Burr to a hand drill, such as the Hudson Hand Drill. Once secured, they rotate the drill to revolve the burr against the bony surface of the skull. This rotation pushes the drill and its burr downwards, effectively creating a precise hole in the skull.
Ergonomic Design Features
To enhance usability, we designed the drill handle with a knob-like frame, which improves grip and dexterity during operation. Additionally, the handle features a bayonet profile, further increasing comfort and minimizing the risk of slippage during critical surgical tasks. The terminal thumbscrew chuck is engineered to securely lock the burr bits in place, allowing for easy and reliable attachment of drill bits while preventing accidental slips. Furthermore, a chuck keyhole is provided for effortless loosening of the burr bit, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
