The Koenig Retractor consists of a hook-type working end and a solid handle. Moreover, the hook has a single blade with blunt rims.
In addition, the retractor’s blade has a deep concave curve. Therefore, surgeons can pull tubular tissues, such as tendons, as well as skin folds.
In contrast, the retractor has a solid handle crossed by horizontal ridges. This feature allows surgeons to retract tissues in any angle with a secure grip.
