The Landolt Micro Enucleator offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to remove the pituitary gland from the sphenoid bone during transsphenoidal hypophysectomy.
For this purpose, the instrument features a concave tip with semi-sharp edges that facilitate the gland’s excision. In addition, the shaft of the instrument has a bayonet-shaped outline that easily passes into the sphenoid sinus.
Moreover, the Landolt Micro Enucleator features a cylindrical handle that permits rotational movements. Furthermore, the knurled grip style pattern allows for a strong grip and prevents slippage.
