The Landolt Micro Raspatory offers a broad range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to undermine the shards of divided bone surfaces to prevent local injury and haemorrhage.

For this purpose, the instrument features a curved, spatula-shaped tip, which is ideal to file round bone surfaces. In addition, the tip has a malleable profile that permits a smoother action without applying strong pressure.
