The Maguaran Plate offers a wide range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to permit the insertion of Draffin Bipod rods to hold them firmly in a triangular position.
For this purpose, the instrument features a flat plate design that provides secure support over even surfaces. In addition, the plate has multiple small fenestrations on each side for accommodating the rods.
Moreover, when surgeons assemble the Maguaran Plate with the rods they obtain optimal stability for the mouth gag.
