The Milligan Dura Dissector offers a wide range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to detach the cranial dura from the bone, in order the gain further access to the brain parenchyma.
For this purpose, the instrument features a double-ended design for performing cuts from different approaches. For example, one of the blades has a semi-curved, sharp design, permitting surgeons to perform cuts in round surfaces. The opposite blade features an angle that allows for reaching deeper spaces.
