The Olivecrona Brain Spatula offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic method for manipulating the brain tissue.
For this purpose, the instrument features a double-ended design that permits carrying out different techniques. In addition, the ends have concave or convex scoop-shaped depressions that surgeons can pick according to the surgical scenario.
Also, each scoop has different sizes, ranging from 7 + 9mm to 18 + 22mm. This particular feature accommodates each pattern of the instrument to different brain sizes.
Moreover, the Olivecrona Brain Spatula has a central solid, flat handle that enhances gripping. Furthermore, each end of the handle angles in opposite directions, which provides an enhanced surgical view.
