Description
The Periosteal Elevator offers a wide range of surgical benefits for orthopedic surgeons. These benefits are particularly useful for performing bone harvesting and reshaping surgeries.
For this purpose, the elevator features a thin blade with a slight terminal curve. Moreover, the blade has a sharp cutting edge and its inferior surface has serrations. As a result, surgeons can fixate the device onto the periosteum and other fibrous tissues prior to their elevation and dissection.
In addition, the instrument comes with a hollow handle with a smooth surface. Surgeons can take advantage of the hollow profile to push the thumb against the handle and secure a strong grip.
