The Stahl Corneal Caliper offers a wide range of surgical advantages. Its principal use it to provide a reliable way to measure different eye structures’ diameters, such as the cornea, lens and capsule.
For this purpose, the instrument consists of a square-shaped plate with notches that mark 0.5mm increments. As a result, surgeons can use these marks in conjunction with a circular fenestration to calculate the corneal diameter.
Moreover, the Stahl Corneal Caliper has a smooth surface that keeps the underlying tissues safe from tearing. The caliper’s measuring range varies from 10.0 to 13.0mm in 0.5mm increments.
