Yasargil Galea Hook
Xelpov’s Yasargil Galea Hook is a multipurpose surgical tool that neurosurgeons use for retracting the epicranial aponeurosis and absorb fluid or blood excess, in order to gain maximum exposure of the periosteum and its underlying skull bones.
- Double-Pronged Hook for Strong Tissue Retraction.
- Pointed Tips for Traversing Heavy Tissues.
- Bulldog Clamp for Manipulating Drapes.
The Yasargil Galea Hook offers multiple surgical benefits. Its main uses are to pull back the anterior and posterior sides of the galea aponeurosis and cleaning fluids from the surgical field.
For this purpose, the instrument features a double-pronged hook that efficiently retracts large areas of tissue. In addition, the pointed prongs’ tips easily perforate the aponeurosis and muscular tissue if necessary. Usually, surgeons use more than one galea hook to retract tissues.
Moreover, the Yasargil Galea Hook also features a cross-action bulldog clamp for grasping drapes. Furthermore, surgeons can manipulate the clamp during retraction, which offers exceptional exposure of the skull bones.
Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel to ensure the highest quality and product performance during surgical procedures.
