The Negus Chest Support for Mouth Gag offers a broad range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to statically hold tongue depressors and mouth gags for spreading the surgical field.
To this end, the instrument features a flat, plate base with two vertical slots for inserting chest belts. As a result, surgeons can securely fixate the device to the patient’s naked chest, which avoids surgical complications.
Moreover, the Negus Chest Support for Mouth Gag features a hollow tubular profile with a ratchet system. The ratchet attaches to a lever and a support plate for holding the gag, and permits to gradually control its placement.
