The Roser-Koenig Mouth Gag offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to provide an efficient way to separate teeth, with the purpose of broadening the mouth opening.
To this end, the instrument features bayonet-shaped jaws that prevent blockage of the surgical field. In addition, the terminal part of the jaws includes outer serrations for interlocking teeth and ensuring optimal fixation.
Moreover, the Roser-Koenig Mouth Gag features a ratcheted system operated by a lever. Surgeons can press the lever to adjust the ratchet and increase or tighten the opening width.
