The Whitehead Mouth Gag offers a wide range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to enlarge the mouth opening during tonsillectomies, anaesthesia and other procedures.
For this purpose, the instrument features a slim wire structure that adapts to the contour of the face with comfort. In addition, the device is available in 11.0, 13.0 and 15.0cm sizes to accommodate pediatric and adult patients.
Moreover, the Whitehead Mouth Gag features a pair of ratchets at each corner to open and close the wire at a static position. Furthermore, the device includes a special design with a tongue depressor.
